Don't Shoot With Long Nails!

One of the most common mistakes I see from female shooters that causes a lack of proper grip or minimal injury is shooting a pistol with long nails.

On average, with the amount of time I spend at the range or following female firearm content online, I would say I see this issue present itself once a week.

This is what you are risking.... is it worth it?

I know girls with long nails will sometimes die on the hill of "give me claws or give me death," and that's fine to each their own, but hopefully, being aware of this issue can prevent you from a painful injury.

Personally, I would rather have function over fashion; I mean, shooting aside, how the heck are you going to wound pack with nails like that should you never need to? Let's not forget the various studies on the growth of bacteria under long, fake nails. If I could eliminate one fashion trend, you bet this is it!

My vote? Nails are out, and girls with guns are in!
