10 Firearm Safety Rules

Updated: Sep 1
There are 4 Basic Firearm Safety Rules, but I Recommend These 10!
The Basics
1. Always Keep Firearms Pointed in a Safe direction
2. Treat All Guns as Though They are Loaded
3. Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger until You are Ready to Shoot
4. Always Be Sure of Your Target and What’s Beyond It

5. Keep your Firearm Safe From Children and Unauthorized Users
Kids are smarter than you think
Friends might be struggling harder than you know
The maintenance man might be an opportunist
A criminal will always take the opportunity
Don't give any of them an easy opportunity!
For an affordable quick access option I recommend... RPNB
For the best home safe recommend... SecureIt

6. Equipment Matters
Use only quality Kydex holsters ONLY!!! I Recommend...
Always avoid thin leather, nylon, and cheap non adjustable index holsters.
Always maintain your equipment, a good kydex holster like the ones listed above will have adjustable retention. You needs to make sure that retention is staying nice and tight by regular maintenance. I like my firearm to be tight enough to need sturdy draw and never loss enough to allow the firearm to fallout when turned upside-down.
7. Photo ops aren't an excuse to break firearm safety rules. Don't be like Alec Baldwin and your favorite gun bunny.
8. Learn to clear a firearm for yourself.
Don't forget about the round in the chamber!
9. Carry medical gear and know how to use it.
The average time to bleed out is 3-5 minutes. The average time for first responders to arrive is 7 to 10 minutes.

I don’t accept sponsored posts just to make a quick buck. I want to keep my content authentic in an industry already flooded with bad advice for women simply because an influencer is getting paid to say it. I value giving you real opinions and real advice. Buying a T-shirt isn’t going to make me rich, but it does help cover the cost of keeping my website running and this content available.
